ALPACA with CRIA (Baby)
is the title of the Bing & Grondahl (B&G) 2022 Mothers Day Plate, featuring a Mother Alpaca and offspring. The Mother Alpaca and her Cria are shown in their natural habitat in the Andes of Peru and Bolivia.
The scene is embossed on Danish porcelain and hand painted in traditional Copenhagen blue under the glaze. Designed by Allan Therkelsen. Pierced foot for hanging wire. Appropriately marked on the back, including the three tower trademark of Bing & Grondahl. Diameter approximately 6 inches.
This is the 54th plate in the Bing & Grondahl Mother’s Day plate series. Bing & Grondahl introduced the FIRST Mother’s Day plate in 1969, and it is still the most popular and longest running Mother’s Day series of all time!
