This set includes five uncirculated 1966 Australian coins with every denomination from 1 to 20 cents.

These coins are ungraded, but they did come straight out of a Blue Card Uncirculated Set, so they are in very nice condition.

1966 is an interesting year for Australian coins. Not only was it the first year for their Decimal Currency, but each coin had a different variety for every mint location that produced them. And  this is the only way to know where they originated from as the coins have no mint marks.

Below is the variety and mint location for each coin in this lot:

1 Cent - Canberra Mint (2nd lowest mint count of the 3 locations). Variety - No blunted whiskers.

2 Cents - Canberra Mint (2nd lowest mint count of the 3 locations). Variety - No blunted claws.

5 Cents - London Mint (lesser mint count of the two locations). Variety - Larger Spine on right shoulder of echidna.

10 Cents - London Mint. Variety - 12 spikes instead of 11 on the lyrebird.

20 Cents - London Mint. Variety - Wave touching head of platypus.
