THE PIECE IN NEAR PERFECT CONDITION AND IN AN OLD SURFACE WITH SOME TRACES OF AN OLD BLACK.

A VERY RARE EARLY PIECE OF EARLY LIGHTING. WE SEE THE TYPICAL WROUGHT IRON SPIKE CANDLE HOLDERS FROM THE SAME PERIOD BUT RARELY DO WE FIND THE EXAMPLES WITH AN ADDED DECORATIVE ROLLED AND CURLED FRONT WHICH WOULD ALLOW YOU TO HANG A RUSH OR BETTY LAMP FROM.
GREAT EARLY HAND WROUGHT CONSTRUCTION AND WONDERFUL OLD GRUNGY SURFACE.
THE CANDLE CUP IS ROLLED AND SEAMED.
This is a very fine piece of American lighting and came out of an early Collection of early iron, lighting and primitives.
The form is the best and there are NO repairs or restorations.
Typical wear and imperfections with age as described above.
