Description:- Antique Taylor Tunnicliffe & Co Aesthetic Movement Biscuit Barrel EPNS Mounts
Blue & White Japanese decorative pattern very much in the Aesthetic Movement Style
Condition:- The plating is worn, both to the rim of the barrel, to the lid, and to the handle with the very yellowish colour of the base metal coming through; It's very brassy though given the age (1875-1898) I would have thought Nickel Silver. The pottery body is in very good condition with no chips or cracks though there are some marks to the underside where it has sat on a surface. There is some residual tarnish to polish off.
Maker:- Printed mark for Taylor Tunniclffe & Co Staffordshire dating the piece to circa 1875-1898 (Goddens)
Measures:- Main body 6 inches in height (excludes lid & Handle) by approx 5 inches diameter to the main body
