Art Nouveau? Silver Plate C.G.Hallberg Stockholm Sweden Possibly A Candle Holder or Candelabra, Comport or Candelabrum Base ?

Condition is used, with a few minor marks most likely from age and use.

I do not know the age of this item, it feels like it’s Art Nouveau in style, so early 20th century, however I have no evidence to attribute this to that era.

I also do not know what this item is, in my opinion it could be the base stand to a candle holder or small candelabra or even an epergne centrepiece. It is therefore likely this item is missing parts that would make it complete.

An alternative is that it’s simply a candle holder for a thin candlestick, the centre is approximately 1cm wide so would fit a narrow candle.

The base diameter measures approximately 6.5cm and the total height is about 8.5cm. Weight is just under 60 grams.

Has the silver plate hallmarks for C G Hallberg although the centre mark is worn
