Rare Italian AREZZO Sterling Silver & 750 18ct Gold Money Clip c.2005 *888AR 925.

Condition is used with some signs of wear from age and or use including tarnish and blemish marks. There will be surface marks and light scratches typical of use (albeit likely limited use) and also that you’d expect on an item of sterling silver being used, which would easily show faint surface scratches when being used as an everyday practical item.

Hallmarked on the back with London Sterling Silver date letter F (I think for 2005).

Marked inside the clip with *888 AR 925 Italy.

There is also the mark 750 stamped within gold area of the front, the 750 is for 18ct gold.

The *888 is the Italian Sterling Silver maker “Linea 2V Argenteria” and AR refers to “Arezzo” the Italian region this was manufactured in. 925 is the mark for Sterling Silver.

This is a quality well made and heavy money clip weighing just over 22 grams. This is a heavy clip compared to most standard silver clips I’ve seen elsewhere, likely an indication of its quality.

Manufactured in Italy and hallmarked as such as imported into the UK and assayed in London in what I am sure is 2005, date letter appears to be an F.

The Italian manufacturers began manufacturing circa 1988 (please research yourself if important to you). Therefore this is vintage as 19 years old but of a contemporary design.
