Vintage 1999 ICC Cricket World Cup Kenya jersey XL, NEW with TAGS

I collected cricket jerseys back in 2003/4 and this was one of the coolest, most beautiful designs I ever came across. . . I'm not so much into One-Day Internationals as I am a die-hard Test Cricket fan, but I had to have this.  During the years, I've never seen another shirt quite this beautiful and my research shows that many others agree with me - this is a very desirable design.  These shirts are extremely well-made, very high quality and super-breathable.  This is in brand new condition and comes with all the attendant tags.  I bought two of these and never wore them; I just stashed this away.  I am selling a large part of my collection to fund some art stuff, so check out my other auctions for other completely cool cricket jerseys.

Pit-to-pit:  25 inches
Neck-to-hem:  30 inches

Further information:

I am one of those rare Americans who have a cricket problem.  I was introduced to (infected with?) cricket on February 10, 2003 when I watched my first World Cup match between Sri Lanka and New Zealand.  I came to watch Sanath Jayasuriya bat as my cricket mentor had actually met him.  Yeah, I’ll drop a name.  After Sri Lanka’s innings and Sanath comes lumbering in with his offspin, I remember thinking “Holy crap, I have to get the hell in on this, STAT.”  Thus began my long, bittersweet affair with willow and wood, from watching to researching to playing.

Please don’t consider writing me to talk about cricket – I won’t be able to stop myself and we’ll both be sorry.  I don’t know . . . there’s something about this sport, this blend of art, science, athletics, tedium, contemplation, tradition . . . like I said, don’t get me started.

Working for a major tech company at the time, I had lots of spending money and could dress any way I wanted to at work.  So I went for it and started collecting cricket jerseys.  I am now selling the larger portion of my collection to fund some art stuff.

Check out my other auctions for more rare, cool cricket jerseys.  I have one-day international style and Test match worn shirts for sale.  These have all been in a storage tote for over 15 years.  Most of these have not been worn or worn only once.
