Early Leica Ia camera converted to III, made in 1929 with early 5-digit serial #15307 in black/nickel finish with a matching collapsible nickel Elmar 5cm f/3.5 lens.

The camera is in fully working condition, all shutter speeds work and sound accurate, curtains are in good shape, viewfinder is bright and clear with no fungus or haze, rangefinder patch is visible but a bit faint, appears accurate. The lens glass is in excellent condition for its age, clean and clear with no noticeable scratches, minimal signs of cleaning to the front, no haze, no fungus, minor dust. Aperture opens and closes properly\, focusing is easy and smooth.

Cosmetically it shows normal signs of age and use such as some paint loss and brassing. The top plate has a shallow dent. Vulcanite is in excellent shape with no cracks or missing pieces.

It comes with the original eveready case, which, unfortunately has stitches coming apart, and the front lens cover part is missing.
