WW2 Release Book, Discharge Certificate and correspondence confirming entitlement to The Efficiency Medal (Territorial) to 5832882 Private Cox of The Parachute Regiment/ Army Air Corps (A.A.C.).

His testimonial by Commandant, Army Air Corp Depot, in the Release Book states; “This man has served with The Parachute Regiment for over 3 years. He gave loyal service at ARNHEM, in N. Africa and Italy. He is very hard working, conscientious and reliable. I recommend him for employment requiring reliability and accuracy.

His Discharge Certificate states he served in North Africa 17th April 1943 to 9th December 1943 and, more importantly, in North West Europe from 18th September 1944 to 14th May 1945. This sounds to me like Pvt Cox was a member of The 4th Parachute Brigade, who parachuted in to Arnhem on the 18th September 1944.

Also entitled to The Efficiency Medal (Territorial), whilst a Sergeant with 131 Parachute Engineer Regt. (TA). He qualified for this on 4th October 1960, and it looks like it was issued on 15th February 1962.

I am a part time e-Bayer, a private seller, NOT a shop. I have a full time job which means I may not be able to post items for several days. If you expect delivery immediately, as many e-bay businesses can do, then I respectfully ask you not to bid on my items. Please do not mark me down for speed of postage because of this.

Postage costs reflect the true cost of posting an item, which is more than the actual posting fee – packaging and sticky tape are overheads too.

If you're not willing to accept this, then please don't bid. Cheers.
