Rare Vintage Britains Metal british civil war  toy soldier with pike.

This is an oddity, it was purchased with the mounted cavalier.

The body is heavy metal, marked Britains Ltd ,England and 890309

The pike is not broken but made of soft metal that bends easily.

The only reference we can find to this model suggests that in late 1950s

this was part of a short lived series in plastic
