Rare Antique Leeds Type Creamware Cabbage Rose Decorated Coffeepot, England, c. 1750 - 1770. This beautiful tall gloubular form lighthouse coffeepot is a very rare and early example of English creamware. This coffeepot has beautiful floral enameled decoration on both sides of the body that is similar to the work of David Rhodes. This rare creamware coffeepot is beautifully handpainted with a cabbage rose bouquet and scattered flowers. This rare coffeepot has a strong provenance as it comes from the Harry Root collection of pottery, that sold at Christie's auction house in July of 2013. On the inside of the coffeepot lid is a sticker that reads, 'Christie's KC16 -263". Also on the coffeepot are two stickers that read "ROOT COLLECTION." Very rare creamware coffeepot is offered here with a Buy It Now. DIMENSIONS: The creamware coffee pot is 9 7/16" H. x 3 5/8" W. x 7 11/16" L. from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle. CONDITION: The condition is very good with a hairline on the front rim that runs about 1 1/2" down near the spout. Otherwise there is wear to the handle and wear that is light for the age and fragility of this rare piece!
