KA-BAR 1109 STOCKMAN: Great Stockman knife. the blades appear to be full with minor sharpening, the bolsters are mostly clean, the Rosewood handles look good without any major dings or abrasions. The snap is solid but appears a bit light. I have no idea the vintage of this particular knife as I am no collector of Kabar Frankly, I don't know how anyone can be because their tang stamps go All over the place there's just too many of them. This was one of my father-in-law's knives and he believed it was 1970s?

KABAR LARGE STAG TRAPPER: This is the mystery knife, it definitely is old probably pre-World War II, hard to say because it doesn't have any model number, anywhere. I described it to a Kabar collector at a gun and knife show and he said it wasn't uncommon for the 1930-1940 Runs of trappers to not have anything but the Kabar stamp sometimes with a star after it, sometimes with USA under the word but not always. I don't know if that's true, but it seems likely as anything. CONDITION: Both blades Appear to be fairly full, straight and bright, unfortunately there is pitting especially near the joint, it's enough that it could've obscured a star or possibly even a USA stamp? The handles are in very nice condition with one small chip, handle pins look tight and bright. The bolsters probably nickel silver are in very good shape, shiny and appear to be unrestored. Despite the age and rust damage, the knife snap is good and doesn't have a great deal of play.
Final note: You can ask me any question you like, ask for additional photos, or any conditional item not mentioned, I'll give you what I can. K bar collectors please don't involve me in any micro arguments, comic book fights or rude questions I'll just block you.
