Lara played in some 131 Test Matches for West Indies from 1990 to 2006, he was a brilliant batsman who scored an astonishing 11,953 Test runs at an average of 52.9. He was a wonderful stroke playing record breaking batsman who scored 34 Test centuries, including breaking the highest score in Test cricket record twice, with his 375 not out in 1994 and then 400 not out ten years later in 2004!
