This painting depicts a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony under the chuppah- wedding canopy. Zamy was born in Poland soon after the end of WWII, emigrated to Israel as a child. When he visited Brazil he was inspired to use the vivid and beautiful colors in his later works. He passed away in 2000 at the age of 51, relatively young. His paintings will appreciate as no more original works are being created. His brother, as executor of the estate has issued limited edition reproductions of originals which the brother has signed. I have some of those available for sale as well at lower price points.

The frame is in excellent condition, although the matting shows stains and dirt. The framer could have done a better job on the miter as the corners are not flush. The painting itself is in outstanding condition, free of dirt, scratches and damage.
