Selling as I have a young family and new job and no longer have the time to keep her.

"She-Bean" is a 1973 Sparkman and Stephens designed South Hants Engineering 27 (She 27) of similar lines to the Swan yachts they designed in that period. She is currently ashore in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.

She is a brilliant sailer, especially upwind where she consistently out points most other boats with ease. Her low freeboard, low coach roof and sleek lines are rarely seen on cabin cruisers at this size.

The principal dimensions:
· LOA 26'
· LWL 19' 8"
· Beam 8' 6"
· Draught 4' 9"
· Displacement 3.86 tonnes

Details / specifications:
· She has a Yanmar YSE 8 (8HP) engine with updated mounts and shaft coupler as of 2018. The engine was reconditioned and repainted during this time and runs smoothly. The engine mounted fuel tank has been replaced by a plastic TekTank model and a fuel filter, water trap, and manual lift pump has been introduced to the setup. The propeller is a two bladed folding prop.
· The mast and rigging was replaced in 2015 with a Z spars mast by Phil Evans Sailing Services.
· The seacocks are all Blake's fittings throughout.
· The deck fittings are a mix between Lewmar winches, Spinlock clutches / jammers, and a mix of Harken, Lewmar, & Barton blocks.
· Navigation equipment is a TackTick speed / depth system with a Garmin 72 GPS and Standard Horizon handheld VHF.
· Galley stove is a two burner Oregon spirit gimballed unit.
· The heads is a Simpson Lawrence SL-400.
· Bilge Pump is a Henderson / Whale Mk5 with a NRV fitted at the suction end.
· Sails include main (serviceable condition), two jibs (reasonable condition), storm jib (serviceable condition), and spinnaker (reasonable condition). There are other sails that can be included such as a light / beam wind genoa (confusing labelled as a "windseeker") and a blooper, but these are probably more of a curiosity then useful sails.

The interior of the boat has been completely remodelled. It is marine plywood with epoxy filleted joints (epoxy glass taped over areas that see high load or where it adds structural benefit to the boat).

The road trailer can be included at no cost, but would require some work to make it suitable for long journeys.

The mooring at Barrow-in-Furness can also be included, subject to separate negotiation.
