This old 54" sepia toned print of R.J. Waters 'The Burning City' original photograph, taken at 10 a.m., April 18, 1906, is in very good unframed and rolled condition. There is a tiny bit of spotting on the right front, as shown, and a little soiling and a tiny indent on the back, also shown. Waters (1856-1937) opened a photo studio in San Francisco in 1892, and was there to capture this image. It is one of 3 famous panorama photos taken by Waters before, during, and after the great fire.The print measures 52-1/2" x 8-3/4", 54" x 10-1/4" including border, and is suitable for framing.
