This is a lovely old French violin, made in Mirecourt, labelled G. Cerpi and dated 1899. It is in truly stunning condition having been fully restored by a top London based firm of luthiers.

As can be seen in the photos the body of the violin is in excellent condition and the violin has been set up with a new bridge, soundpost and strings. Everything else has been cleaned and prepared to the highest standard to make the violin as playable as possible and sound as nice as possible .

Therefore the violin has a very fine quality of sound. Both powerful with good projection but also with a lovely warm tone, making it very versatile for a large and varied repertoire.

The violin be carefully packaged, in a case for good protection but if sent abroad, the bridge and soundpost will be removed. Therefore the violin will need to be reset up upon arrival.
