Recommendations for growing corn:

Have a well tilled area approximately 4X4 (if smaller you will need to hand pollinate- but I recommend doing this anyway!) 

Corn is a very heavy feeder! Have well draining soil mixed with good compost and feed with a tomato based feed that is heavy in nitrogen. Corn also needs to be watered consistently- about 1-2inches a week.
