This listing is for a gorgeous vintage, yellow jade, beaded necklace. This necklace is really lovely and a unique color. It's vintage, but also a classic style that is as fashionable today as it was when the necklace was first made. The necklace measures just over 33 inches in length, but the overlap of the clasp's design makes it fit more like a 33 inch necklace. The beads are 8 mm in diameter. They are strung onto yellow thread that is hand knotted in between each bead. The necklace is finished with a sterling silver, oval shaped, box style clasp.  The clasp is covered in gold overlay with an oval, yellow jade cabochon, that perfectly matches the beads. set into the clasp. The clasp is stamped 925. I believe the color of these beads to be natural and not dyed, as there is a slight variation in the shade of yellow between each bead, which is a trait of natural stone. It is possible the color was enhanced through heat treatment or something along those lines, though. I really love this piece and have kept it as part of my personal collection for a number of years. I'm thinning my collection, though, and feel like it's time to let this one go. It really is unique and gorgeous, though, simply because of the color, and my hope is that it will be worn and enjoyed by its new owner for years to come.
