1948 Hallicrafters T-54, 7" table top TV in metal cabinet. Cosmetics of the metal cabinet are fair to good overall with noticeable surface rust, rubs, dings and scratches here and there. All 23 knobs are still there and in nice condition. The cabinet is a good candidate for a respray, these sets look beautiful once done. The front picture tube safety/clear plastic face has some fine scratches that may or may not polish out. There are some small pit marks on the faceplate and slight loss of paint. The speaker cone was torn in one spot and repaired. The AC cord that mounts in the lid going to the male chassis plug is long gone. Be sure to see all the photos below including close-up shots. 

 

The chassis was recapped by someone decades ago and has not been tested. Notice the small amount of surface rust and age related scratches and patina. I did not test  any of tubes but did test the RCA 7JP4 picture tube. Sencore CR70 Test: H-K Shorts - Good, G1 Shorts - Bad to good on several retests, Cutoff - Low, Emission  - shows Good, Life Test - slow fade to bad and it is noted that the screen lights dim. There is a 1/4" scratch on the face. I would not trust this tube, it might benefit from a rejuvenation but don't count on it.

I am selling this TV and all its parts as-is, display only, not working, for parts and repair, no returns for any reason. This 70+ year old TV must be looked over, safety checked and repaired/restored by a qualified technician before use.

 

TV measures 10 5/8” tall, 20” wide, 17 1/2” deep and weighs 39 lb. 

 

Box will measure 16” tall, 25” wide, and 22” deep and weigh 45 lb. when packed.
