Antique French Gilt and Polychrome Decorated Porcelain Apothecary Jar, Late 19th or early 20th century. Having caduceus carrying women and oval reserve and decorated with flower filled cornucopiae, terminating with a circle enclosing a figure of a bumble bee (Napoleonic symbol of immortality and resurrection. ) The jar measure 11 inches high by about 5in diameter. Incised mark on the bottom "12" and below that is a "9-1/2". Condition: Wear to gilding otherwise excellent.
