Peggy Bjerkan (American 20th/21st C.)  “On Top of the World”, 2005,  earthenware mask sculpture with applied ceramic leaves. Signed, titled and dated inside. This reminds me of a hamadryad, a Greek mythological being that lives in trees or some believe is the actual spirit of the tree, they are also related to nymphs. Wired for hanging. Measures about 8.5in height x 6.25in width x 3.5in depth. Condition: Excellent condition.
