This "LMS 265" live steam locomotive by "Bowman" is in "as found" condition.
It has retained much of its' black and maroon paintwork, however, there are areas of missing paint, particularly, to the top of the boiler and cab roof, this appears to have green paint underneath the black.
The boiler also has black scorch marks.
The lettering and numbers to the sides are present, one side has a fair colour the other side has faded.
There are inevitably the scuffs, scratches and marks that you would associate with a used item of this age.
The buffers are present, however, the coupling is incomplete.
The valve to the top may be a replacement and the stopper to the meths reservoir has been replaced with a piece of wood at some point.
I have tried to show the condition in the photographs.
The detachable meths burner appears to be free from any holes or rust .
I haven't tested the locomotive, so I am not sure if it is in working order, however, the wheels are well attached and move well, as do the pistons.
I am unsure if there are any internal issues.
The locomotive measures approximately 27 cm (10 1/2 inches) long.
