      ・By adopting a large-capacity lithium-ion battery capable of discharging a large current, high-speed charging is achieved in approximately 0.1 to 1.2 seconds from the time of firing until the strobe is fully charged, allowing for smooth shooting with short standby times
      . ・Achieves approximately 350 flashes. The number of flashes that can be emitted has increased from approximately 335 times for the "Speedlight EL-1" to approximately 350 times. Even in scenes with long shutter opportunities, you can shoot without changing the battery.
      ・Achieves continuous full flash of approximately 95 times or more*1. It is possible to stably shoot decisive scenes continuously.
      ・Equipped with a "high-speed sync" function that allows strobe shooting even with a high-speed shutter that exceeds the camera's sync speed by continuous intermittent flash. Since the aperture can be opened even in strong backlight, it is possible to brighten the subject while blurring the background.

    • Compact design and excellent operability

      ・While inheriting the high basic performance of the "Speedlite EL-1", the height has been shortened by about 9 mm from about 149.0 mm to about 139.9 mm. In addition, the weight has been reduced by about 81 g from about 572 g to about 491 g *1.
      ・The adoption of a joystick allows intuitive operation and confirmation. In addition, frequently used operations can be assigned function shortcuts to the up/down/left/right (4 directions) of the joystick.
      ・The display panel uses a high-definition LCD display panel with excellent visibility. In addition, it supports the display of the remaining battery level, allowing you to shoot while predicting the timing of battery replacement.

    • Collaboration with the EOS R System for comfortable operation

      ・You can register the strobe settings to three custom flash modes: C1/C2/C3. In addition, by linking the camera and strobe in advance, the strobe's flash mode will automatically switch in conjunction with the camera's shooting mode, allowing you to quickly select the optimal setting for the scene.
      ・Equipped with a "menu direct function", you can call up the menu settings of the strobe in the camera with one click by operating the joystick of the strobe.
      ・Supports the automatic dimming function of the AF assist light on the camera side *1. The light intensity of the white LED lamp is automatically adjusted so that the subject is less likely to feel glare. Useful for photographing people in night scenes where the pupils are dilated and glare is easily felt.
      ・When shooting wirelessly via radio communication, the receiver's modeling lamp can be controlled to be turned on/off by operating from the sender *2. When you want to turn the receiver back on, you do not need to go round each receiver one by one as in the past, which improves work efficiency.
      ・Supports the "Quick Strobe Group Control" newly installed in the "EOS R6 Mark II". The group flash setting screen can be displayed on the camera's live view screen with one touch and operated directly.
      - The "flash compensation" customization setting that can be selected with the control ring has been changed to "flash compensation/flash output." Not only flash compensation but also changes to the flash output can be operated with the control ring. *3.     • High reliability thanks to dust-proof and drip-proof*1 structure

      ・The structure is designed to be dust-proof and water-resistant, with sealing applied to the mating surfaces of the exterior parts.
      ・The mounting legs are equipped with a "dust-proof and water-resistant adapter." When the rubber adapter is lowered when the shoe is locked, it comes into close contact with the stage part on the camera side, and when combined with a camera equipped with dust-proof and water-resistant performance, it prevents water droplets and sand dust from entering the strobe contact part.
