Here's the Realtone TR-803 "Valiant", also known as "Blades", one of Realtone's "must-have" radios, circa 1962. These tiny sets are very similar in cabinet and chassis design to the Realtone Capri model. (In fact, the Capris all had TR-803 stamped on their circuit boards.) At any rate, these Valiants -- with their automobile styled "fins" running down each edge -- are spectacular little models.

This example is in very good cosmetic condition, without any chips or cracks. The detractors are a slightly pushed in grill and a split negative battery clip cover. The radio comes in the clamshell case (with deteriorated red plastic lining, the leather case and the earphone (missing the earplug tip). The radio takes an obsolete round 9 volt battery. I jumped modern 9v battery, but could not get it to work.

I have been collecting transistor radios and TVs for more than 25 years, and am now "thinning" my collection. Most are like new in the box, so keep an eye on my auctions!
