Steiff, the legendary German plush toy company, is famous for its artistry, beauty and lasting quality. The company produced incredible stuffed animals of every type, including super fun hand puppets, like this Cockie Dog. Its endearing look with prominent muzzle and long ears is adorable. Steiff uses the finest mohair plush. It has stitched nose and claws and Its eyes are glass, an indication of an early model, likely made circa 1960s. Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. This toy is in good condition although it's missing Steiff IDs. Sweet Cockie can't wait to join your vintage toy collection!
