SCARCE….hard-to-find smaller width…tad over 1/2”

This auction is for a lovely antique Victorian/1900 silk velvet ribbon in ink black. It is flat with pile close to the surface and burns of silk fiber content….self-extinguishes. It is hard to find early ribbon in a smaller width. Beautiful, original ribbon with age-inherent, fine striations throughout which do not really detract. It only makes it more desirable for one who wishes authenticity (see Photo 1 in particular). This is authentic of the era and not of the norm.

It measures approximately 38” at longest length (cut on diagonal on either end) x 9/16”.
