In early 2022 Dave Sim decided to reprint Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 8 for the first time.  Since the issue is longer than a standard comic book there wasn't going to be a lot of room for extras even in a 48 page version.  To test the waters Dave prepared a two volume comic book documentary-style release featuring behind the scenes photos and art from the original 1986 crossover.  These two volumes also include Dave's commentary and recollections from the historic collaboration that lead to a series of conversations between Dave and Kevin Eastman that are currently available to listen to any time on YouTube (just search 'Cerebus Online' or 'Kevin Eastman talks to Dave Sim').

These were available only for one day each and were printed in a very limited run mostly because the gold foil cover printing (on both front and back covers) can be tricky at best.  There were Canadian (aka Swordfish) versions and United States versions, both had a very limited print run and, according to Dave Sim, are never to be reprinted.

Anything from Dave Sim listed as "Swordfish" means it's an inside deal that can be obtained only by following Dave's YouTube channel or listening to his monthly interviews on amomentofcerebus.blogspot.com.  It's really deep Cerebus/Dave Sim fan stuff, but you can get some really amazing deals from time to time.  This copy includes a CAN number of 71 (CAN = Cerebus Archive Number, fans can reserve this number and get it on all of their purchases from Dave).  The comic is signed by Dave Sim and hand numbered 52/125 on the back cover.

Pieces of Turtles 8.2 (Canadian/Swordfish Edition - June 2022) Volume 2 continues the behind the scenes story plus a center spread of the Dave Sim and Kevin Eastman's limited print "Matisse, The Unknown Turtle" reprinted for the first time.  This comic is signed by Dave Sim and hand numbered 102/227 on the back cover.

Pieces of Turtles 8.2 (United States Edition - August 2022) The United States version is different from the Canadian version only on the cover.  This comic is signed by Dave Sim and hand numbered 45/122 on the back cover.
