Neapolitan Capodimonte royalty series porcelain plate featuring Louis XVI as heir.

Deep relief decoration with gold and polychrome decoration. Fleur-de-lis and other French royal motifs. Shallow embossed lettering reads: LOUIS AUGUSTE DAUPHIN DE FRANCE. Underglaze blue "Crowned N" mark of Naples Capodimonte wares. True age and origin unknown.

The heavy porcelain is translucent and rings nicely when thumped. 10" diameter x 3/4" deep. No damage.
