ITEM: Pre Columbian 
CREATOR: Ancient peoples of Mexico
DETAILS: Interesting pre-Columbian figure from the Colima area of Mexico. A hand-built pottery figure, seated female, with outstretched legs, one hand bent to torso, some kind of amulet at her breast.
PERIOD: Possibly as old as 200 AD, though I am not an expert
ORIGIN: Colima, Mexico
MATERIAL: Pottery
MARKS: Unmarked. This piece is from the Santa Barbara estate of a former UCSB faculty member. (This piece is unmarked but another from the same collection bore a label from the university's art gallery, with catalog number.)
CONDITION: One leg missing, along with small losses. Repair at neck
DIMENSIONS: 7 1/2" high
