This is a wonderful Victorian transfer-ware tile made by Josiah Wedgwood at Etruria.  It is blue and white and is a hunting scene called "Master of the Hounds".  It is from the 1800's and is in very good to excellent condition.  There is some light crazing on the front and a small chip on the front corner of the tile. There is also some slight discoloration on the top corners.  It reads "Josiah Wedgwood & Sons Etruria " and an x on the back.  The tile measures 6" x 6".  The scene features a man in fox hound hunting apparel sitting on a horse with 4 dogs sitting at his horse's feet.  He is looking behind him at other hunters coming from behind.

I have another hunting tile listed in a separate auction.
