3.5 mm plug, 3-pole, silver shell, gold plated contacts
This stereo jack connector is a great replacement jack for headphones or if you just want to make a lead up for your audio equipment. Connector has a 4mm diameter cable entry size.
This connector has solder contacts and a crimp type cord grip, use pliers to wrap around your cable.
Tips for soldering the connector on, prep the cable you want to solder on to the connector by cutting the wires to the correct length. Strip the ends of the wires 5mm tin the ends with solder. Tin the solder contacts on the connector, use a fair amount of solder. Put the rear outer shell on the wire and the clear plastic sleeve, solder the connector on, you should not need to hold the soldering on on any more than 1 second to get a good soldered joint. If you hold the soldering on the joints to long it will start to melt the connectors insulators, so please solder as quickly as possible. Once soldered it's just a case of wrapping the crimp part around the cable using a pair of pliers and screwing on the outer shell
