Most silicone moulds are made from gelatin and have many drawbacks like:

The gelatine dries out and the mould shrinks and cracks, Our's don't

Gelatine moulds cannot be used for hot applications like cooked sugar, Our's will

And gelatin moulds perform very poorly when placed in a freezer or frozen, Our's don't 

Also our silicone moulds can resists temperatures as high as 450 degrees F. without loosing it's flexibility

This silicone also complies with FDA regulation: 21CFR1177. 2600 and has been tested by an independent, FDA approved laboratory to confirm it's food grade status
