This is a single porcelain "Feves" figurine of a chimp (Generic Abu) from a series of Aladdin. NOT Based on the Disney cartoon, this looks like a generic cartoon set. It measures about 1.25" (30mm) tall. It is very nice and fairly detailed for their small size. Due to the small size of the figures, the photos may not show the figure in accurate detail. Figure is in excellent condition with no marks, wear or damage. They were released in France in the late 1990's. They are authentic, and completely authorized for release in France.

The photo showing the complete set is for reference only. Only the one figure listed is included. We have the complete set of 8 and some single figurines available from this series, please check out my other items!

These hand painted, porcelain figurines come from France. They are made to be put inside a "King Cake" for the "Epiphany" Holiday, this holiday is celebrated every year on January 6th, the 12th day of Christmas. Tradition states that this is the day that the three wise men or "Three Kings" came to Bethlehem, to honor the birth of Christ. A long running tradition in France is to bake a "King Cake", and insert a Fava bean inside the cake. More recently, this bean has been replaced by a ceramic figure. The word "Feve" is French for Fava bean. The child who finds the figure in his or her slice, is king for the day. This tradition has been commercialized, and there is a very wide assortment of porcelain and gold figures that are made for the Epiphany. They go by several names, King Cake figures, Epiphany figures, or "Feves". ALL feves of licensed figures are authorized by the copyright owner.

We at Jerry’s Neat Stuff have a very large selection of Feves, including many Disney & other cartoon characters, and more, which are available at our eBay store. Please check out my other items!
