CHRISTMAS REFLECTIONS by Karl Doerflinger

With rosy cheeks, chilly noses, and a nickel in mitten for a hot chocolate, skating 'round the Christmas Tree at ROGER WILLIAMS PARK, in Providence, RI was a child's pure delight. It is from an original painting created by Rhode Island FOLK artist, KARL DOERFLINGER.  Karl is a popular folk artist and is well known for his whimsical paintings of carousels, amusement parks and happy seashore recreation from days gone by in his state of Rhode Island. He rose to national recognition for his Yankee Magazine cover, and illustrations. Most memorable may well be his "Winter Carousel Party" showing a glowing, moon lit carousel reflecting on a frozen skating pond also at Roger Williams Park, Providence, Rhode Island.
