The original replacement pulley for IBM Selectric Cycle Clutch pulleys.  These are newly manufactured replacement cycle clutch pulleys for IBM Selectric typewriters.  IBM originally manufactured this part in molded plastic and they develop cracks with age, even if they were never used.  Eventually they separate from the metal hub rendering the typewriter useless.  Every Selectric repairman has experienced this frustration as original replacements haven't been available for at least a decade, probably longer.  Until now, the only solution has been to replace the pulley with a good used one but, as every Selectric repairman knows, even a good used one has cracks in it and is destined to fail.  A new original replacement pulley is almost impossible to find.

To say that I was amazed when I received this pulley would be an understatement! This part was definitely CNC machined to a high degree of precision and then polished to a mirror finish. I had waffled between the 3D-printed parts and this part, but even though the cost of the 3D parts was much less, the quality was equally less. I couldn't be happier with this purchase! Thanks!

Our replacement Pulley is manufactured in aluminum and will not crack like the originals did.  IT IS BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL PART!  Our pulley will require that the service technician remove the original pulley and separate the sleeve from the cycle clutch arbor.   Once separated, our pulley is designed to fit perfectly on to the original arbor.   The first three pictures show the replacement pulley as we are selling it.  What you see in the last two pictures is our pulley press fitted on to an original cycle clutch arbor.  We have them installed in our Selectrics in the field and they work perfectly.  We are now offering them for sale to Selectric repairman only.  You need to be a trained Selectric service person in order to install this part.  Do not expect that it can be installed by those unfamiliar with Selectric repairs.  Additionally, you will need a small press to install the pulley on to the original arbor.   If you have questions, feel free to call me during business hours (east coast) and I will be glad to discuss the installation process in more detail.
