The Edge Spikes are used to securely fix the Link Edge into the ground/surface/base by hammering through the holes located on the bottom base of the Link Edge.
Link Edge has developed the strongest and most secure spikes that have been design-engineered to be the most effective spikes on the market designed to be used in all soil types.
Recommended edge spike spacing per 3 metre length:
Straight line, low traffic areas: 1 edge spike per metre
Pathways and low traffic areas: 1 edge spike per 60cm
Driveways and high traffic areas: 1 edge spike per 40-50cm
Edge Spikes are available in two different lengths
150mm Edge Spikes designed to be used with:
Link Edge Original 40mm and 50mm
Link Edge Heavy Duty 50mm
300mm Edge Spikes designed to be used with:
Link Edge Original 75mm and 100mm
Link Edge Heavy Duty 75mm and 100mm
Link Edge Circles 630mm and 950mm
Link Edge Squares 500mm and 1000mm

Fishplate connectors are used to connect lengths of Link Edge. They slide into specially designed slots in the aluminium edging and snap the lengths together to create a smooth, uninterrupted edge.
Two sizes are available.
Small fishplate connectors can be used with:
Link Edge Original 40mm and 50mm
Link Edge Heavy Duty 50mm
Large fishplate connectors can be used with:
Link Edge Original 75mm and 100mm

Always install Spike Guides with the Edge Spike hole towards the bottom of the Spike Guide.
Spike guides provide extra vertical stability for 75mm and 100mm Link Edge, and are suitable for areas which experience heavy traffic or border heavy, compacted surfaces.
Spike guides slide into specially designed slots in the aluminium, allowing for the edge spike to pass through the guide as well as the Link Edge and prevent buckling. | |  | | Corner Connecting Bracket
The corner connecting bracket allows 2 lengths of Link Edge to be joined seamlessly at right angles (can also be bent to other angles as required), and giving extra stability at a potentially weakened point of the edge.
Each length of Link Edge requires 1 specially designed connecting fishplate that slides in to the designed slots and snaps the lengths together providing a smooth uninterrupted edge.
Small Corner Connector
for 40-50mm Link Edge and 50mm Heavy Duty Link Edge.
Large Corner Connector
for 75-100mm Link Edge and 75-100mm Heavy Duty Link Edge. |
