The FRM220-1000MS Gigabit Ethernet is an extremely versatile optical fiber media converter with own IP address for direct management.
Unit has an SFP(Small Form Pluggable) slot that can accomodate any type of SFP optical module, like Ethernet 1000Base-SX, LX, LHX, ZX, WDM or CWDM type, multimode or singlemode. The Copper interface is an auto negotiating 10/100/1000 BaseT RJ45 interface with auto MDI/MDI-X detection.
FRM220-1000MS supports NMS functions for Link-Loss-Forwarding, Loop-Back-Test and settings for bandwidth level on each port. These features are available via web browser, by direct accessing unit on its own IP address. Standalone FRM220-1000MS is powered by an external switching power supply adapter, input 90-260AC, output 12V DC, 1A. Plug for AC line is US type, NEMA1-15(2 blades only). The AC adapter is included in the converter box. For professional 48V DC power requirements an FRM220 rack solution is available. The FRM220-CH20 rack has 20 slots and occupies 2U in a 19" wide rack.
FRM220-1000MS can accommodate any type of SFP optical module like multimode, singlemode, WDM or CWDM SFP's. Unit is offering unparalleled flexibility and easy migration from copper Gigabit Ethernet port to short-haul or long haul fiber connections by simply changing the optical module interface. For copper port, the unit has auto-sensing speed line connection between 10. 100 and 1000BaseT interfaces.
