This auction is for a packet of 10 of # 1847 lamps. Bulk quantities (that is, greater than just 10 lamps) also available.
Differences between, and characteristics of # 44, # 1847 and # 47 globes:-
The # 44 lamp draws 250 milliamps; the # 47 and 1847 draw 150 ma. Logically therefore the # 44 has a greater light output BUT at a greater current draw, and multiply the 250 ma current drawn by a typical 40 lamps in a pinball, and you have 10 amps current draw - which is why so many plugs and sockets in the GI (General Illumination) circuit of electronic pinballs fail, blacken and burn.
The same 40 x # 1847 or # 47 lamps draw only 6 amps and logically your pinball lamp circuitry will NOT produce anywhere near as much heat, nor as much trouble in the plugs and sockets. Having said that though - there are certain positions and features within a pinball where the greater light output of a # 44 lamp is needed (such as behind a mirrored part of the back-glass). Ideally you would use a mix of # 44's and/or # 1847's or # 47's in your pinball.
Brighten up your juke and/or your pinball playfield and back glass illumination - replace all those burnt-out & missing lamps!
