CND Shellac Preparation, Application and Removal Instructions

CND is the original Shellac and combines the ease of polish with the permanence of gels. It is a true innovation in chip-free, extended wear nail colour. It goes on like polish and wears like gels. CND Shellac is a resilient polish that remains flawless for 14-days and removes in 10 minutes. Shellac is UV cured, so there is ZERO drying time. It is thin and flexible like polish, providing a long lasting, natural, strong nail protection.

Preparation

1. File and shape nails with the CND Kanga file

2. Push back cuticles with the stainless steel cuticle remover

3. Wash hands with the CND scrubfresh ready for application

Note : each layer of CND Shellac will leave a sticky residue. Do not remove until instructed as this helps the next layer adhere to the nail.

CND Base Coat Application
1. Shake well the CND base coat bottle to blend
2. Apply a thin layer of base coat to each nail surface up to cuticle free edge
3. Cure the base coat for 10 seconds with UV lamp
4. Repeat on other hand

CND Colour Coat Application
1. Shake well the CND colour polish bottle to blend

2. Apply a thin layer of colour to each nail surface up to the cuticle free edge

3. Cure the CND colour coat for 120 seconds using the timer on the UV lamp

4. Repeat process on other hand

5. Repeat the above process applying a second coat of CND colour

CND Top Coat Application

1. Shake well the CND top coat bottle to blend

2. Apply a thin layer of CND top coat to each nail up to the cuticle free edge

3. Cure the CND top coat for 120 seconds using the timer on the UV lamp

4. Repeat process on your other hand.

Remove Residue
Remove the sticky residue with an isopropyl alcohol wipe, and to provide that high gloss shine.

CND Shellac Removal

To remove the CND Shellac use the CND nourishing remover and CND removal wraps.

1. Soak the CND removal wraps in the 100% acetone

2. Place the CND wraps onto the finger nails and wrap as instructed

3. After 10 minutes remove the CND Shellac polish and scrape off any residue with the orange stick.

Classy UV Gel Application

Preparation

Prep and file nails (including cleaning/removing cuticles) for a smooth surface prior to application. Set up your UV lamp to prepare for the curing process (do not use the light unless curing).

How to Apply

1. Shake each bottle before use to blend.

2. Apply a thin layer of the base coat evenly onto the nail surface and cure under the UV/LED lamp.

3. Apply a thin and even first coat of colour nail polish and cure under the UV/LED lamp.

4. Apply a second thin and even coat of colour nail polish and cure under the UV/LED lamp.

5. Apply a thin even layer of top coat and cure under the UV/LED lamp.

6. Wipe nails carefully with an isopropyl alcohol wipe to remove any residue and provide that high gloss shine.

7. Repeat the process on the other hand.

NB: Please note that after each application the nails will feel stick/tacky to touch.

Classy UV Gel Removal

Preparation

1. Ensure you have your aluminium foil and/or Classy foil remover wraps, cotton pads/balls and pure acetone prepared.

2. Cut out the rectangular shaped pieces of aluminium foil (e.g. 5cm x 10cm) one for each nail which requires the polish removal.

3. The removal process is best done over a small towel (to prevent acetone dripping onto any surfaces).

Removal Process

1. Soak a cotton pad/cotton ball and/or Classy foil remover wrap with acetone and place directly onto the nail.

2. Wrap the rectangular shaped aluminium foil around your fingertip and nail and squeeze to form a 'finger cap'.

3. Leave on for approximately10 minutes, then using a wriggling movement remove the aluminium/wrap from your fingers.

4. Using a dab of the pure acetone on a cotton pad/ball, give each finger a final wipe to remove any remaining residue.

Storage

1. Shake each bottle thoroughly before each use to disperse the solvents which helps prevent evaporation and thickening.

2. Close the cap firmly when not in use. This will prevent solvent from evaporating in between services. It may be necessary to clean the neck of the bottle after use to ensure a tight closure.

3. Do not expose the bottle to light without the cap firmly in place. Exposure to light can begin the curing process; this includes sunlight and table lamps.

4. Replace the cap when you are not actually applying the product. This limits evaporation as well as exposure to light.

5. Apply at room temperature to ensure good consistency for application.
