Drivesafe highway tyre sealant is designed for use in highway vehicles. Applies a protective coating which acts as a guard against punctures,  an alternative product for modern vehicles with no spare wheel in the event of sustaining a puncture offering extended mobility creating self-sealing tyres.

Designed and suitable for road highway vehicles, our product is suitable for large SUV's up to 22" wheel, upon purchase please state tyre size and the pouches will contain correct amount of product for your given tyre size. 

Large SUV's will have no spare wheel ideal solution to either get you home or to the nearest service centre eliminating the possibility of being stranded at the roadside awaiting recovery along with the inconvenience 

  Pre-Puncture application.
 The product is installed into the wheel via the tyre valve before the puncture occurs.  As the wheel rotates the product is distributed in a forward motion,  this applies a protective coating on the inner lining of the tread area of the tyre which acts as a guard.  When a foreign object penetrates the tyre the air pressure instantly forces the gel into the puncture wound creating a temporary flexible seal offering extended mobility effectively creating a self-sealing tyre. By sealing the puncture instantly offers the driver extended mobility and allows the vehicle to continue their journey this helps to reduce the risks involved in roadside wheel changes.

By sealing the puncture instantly whilst the vehicle is in motion the flexible seal helps to maintain the correct operating pressure.  This helps to eliminate additional heat build-up within the tyre from operating under pressure which could possibly lead to failure. By helping to maintain correct tyre pressure it helps to maximise full potential tread life of the tyre,  under-inflated tyres have an adverse effect on the vehicle's stability and handling at speed and increase in tread wear. Excessive heat build-up within the tyre resulting from under inflation is the number 1 cause of tyre failure

The product is designed to seal approximately up to 4 mm within the crown area of the tyre. The life of the seal is determined by the actual damage to the tyre casing caused by the foreign object,  due to no two punctures are the same. This is due to the wide range of foreign objects scattered on our roads, whether the object has been retained within the tyre tread or has been ejected leaving an open wound, the size of the foreign object and what damage it has done to the construction of the tyre. A piece of glass would damage the construction of a tyre more than a small nail, the product is designed to seal whilst the vehicle is in motion. If the tyre sustained a large wound then the product will reduce the rate of deflation initially eliminating the possibility of a blow-out and allowing the driver to reduce the speed and pull over to a safe place.  

With the use of tyre sealant, we would advise regular tyre pressure checks also visual checks for cuts or foreign objects lodged within the tyre tread.  In the event of finding a foreign object which has become lodged within the tyre tread, it would be advisable to have the tyre examined by your local garage or tyre dealer at the earliest opportunity. 

  
 Drivesafe products are different from what is supplied with modern vehicles with no spare wheels.  The product supplied with modern vehicles is most often a latex based product which once used it renders the tyre scrap as latex has an adverse effect on the tyre's inner lining and can be difficult to wash out, Drivesafe products are water soluble which can be removed from the tyre with just water.

Drivesafe tyre sealant is an effective method of temporary repair to the tyre, depending on the damage to the tyre casing the seal may last a week, a month or even the life of the tyre. Drivesafe tyre sealant products are non-toxic, non-hazardous, non-flammable environmentally friendly water-soluble product, in the event of the tyre requiring a repair the tyre can be removed from the wheel in the normal way. The product can then be washed out of the tyre with just water, visual inspection of the tyre can then be carried out to determine whether a permanent repair can be carried out according to industry standards.
