An interesting coming together of 3 elements into a mixed media painting that has a nostalgic longing for the springtime of year. The actual painting on canvas was painted by a little girl named Bridgett who was 7  but about to turn 8 years old . I was impressed by the sweetness and naivety accomplished by such a young artist. The second element is the old crackly painting on cutout wood that appears to be 60 or 70 years old judging from the hairstyle and clothing of the little girl. The cutout painting on wood was applied to the canvas. The third element is the beautiful old frame that matches up perfectly to complete and enhance it all into a fascinating work of art. The frame is very heavy and solid and was made of many individual pieces of cut wood assembled into a great geometric design in the tramp art tradition.

The painting is 30" X 24" and the frame measures 37" X 31"
