Published by Bantam in 2007. Hardcover, fine in dust jacket. Inscribed first edition with inscribed piece of original art for one of the novel's illustrations to one of Mike Mignola's favorite booksellers. The book is incscribed to Bill Keaveny, the owner of Vanishing Books, who specialized in rare and out of print horror and ghost stories. Mignola illustrated several Vanishing Books catalogs. This is a novel, not a graphic novel. The book is inscribed by Mignola. He drew a ghoulish figure on the front end paper. Inside a speech balloon the ghoul says, "Bill, half of what's on my shelf I owe to you--and I couldn't have done THIS book without THOSE books-So thanks! Mike Mignola. 11/7/07." With the book is a business size envelope inscribed, "Bill, This is the first BALTIMORE original I've parted with--seems somehow right that it should go to you-". Inside is a 3.5 inch by 5 inch by 4.75 inch card. On it is an illustration about 3" x 3". The illustration is also inscribed, "For Bill--Thanks for all the books! Mike Mignola-". The illustration can be found on page 256. This one is a skull-like portrait of one of the vampires.
