The First 25 Caterpillar Diesels booklet was originally printed in 1942. It is the story of the first 25 Diesel Tractors produced - all Sixties - and their use in the ten years following production.  The brochure was a tool for Caterpillar to promote the relatively new concept of the Diesel Tractor for fuel economy, ease of use, reliability and low maintenance.

Each tractor from No.1 - Serial No 1C1 - which started life pulling a grader and went on to load logging trucks with a winch, to No. 25 which was running mill equipment in Missouri, is shown with photographs and the story of the first ten years of its working life.  A beautiful booklet with photographs showing these sixties operating all manner of equipment and accessories including trailed graders, elevating graders, bulldozer blades, ploughs, combine harvesters and athey wagons.  One tractor - number 11 - set a world record for low-cost plowing in Oregon in 1942.

This reproduction is not a photocopy, but a digitally restored and professionally reprinted booklet.  It is as it would have appeared when first printed.
