You are bidding on the 7th cover of a set of 100 first day covers containing stamps issued in the Marshall Islands commemorating the 50th anniversaries of the 100 most significant events starting with the invasion of Poland and ending up with the end of World War II on VJ day, September 2, 1945.

This seventh cover depicts the 50th Anniversary of Winston Churchill accepting His Majesty’s invitation to fill the position of Prime Minister. The cover is double cancelled and the red cancellation is from Majuro proper on May 10, 1990, 50 years after Churchill addressed the House of Commons. The cover bears one 45 cent "Churchill Becomes Prime Minister 1940" stamp. The cover is signed by Sailass Andrike, Director of Post for the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The creator of the cover is a member of the American Philatelic Society. This is a unique cover to own and one of a limited edition.
