You are bidding on the 49th cover of a set of 100 first day covers containing stamps issued in the Marshall Islands commemorating the 50th anniversaries of the 100 most significant events starting with the invasion of Poland and ending up with the end of World War II on VJ day, September 2, 1945.

This 49th cover depicts the 50th Anniversary of Operations Jubilee on August 19, 1942. The cover is double cancelled and the red cancellation is from Majuro proper on August 19, 1992. The cover bears one 29 cent “Dieppe Raid 1942” stamp. The cover is signed by Sailass Andrike, Director of Post for the Republic of the Marshall Islands and contains a quote by Lord Louis Mountbatten. The creator of the cover is also a member of the American Philatelic Society. This is a beautiful and unique cover to own and one of a limited edition.
