This 52nd cover depicts the Battle of the Cape Esperance. The cover is cancelled on October 11, 1992, 50 years after the battle. The cover bears one 50 cent “Battle of Cape Esperance 1942” stamp with inscription by Chester Nimitz.
The cover is signed by Sailass Andrike, Director of Post for the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The creator of the cover is also a member of the American Philatelic Society. This is a beautiful and unique cover to own and one of a limited edition.This is a unique cover to own.
