You are bidding on a first day cover containing stamps issued in the Marshall Islands commemorating the 50th anniversaries of the 100 most significant events starting with the invasion of Poland and ending up with the end of World War II on VJ day, September 2, 1945.

This 74th cover depicts the 50th Anniversary of D-Day on June 6, 1944. In the early morning of June 6, paratroopers and glider troops landed behind enemy lines. As dawn arrived, the Allies began landing on five beaches code-named Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword. The cover bears a Majuro cancellation on June 6, 1994, 50 years after D-Day. The cover bears one 75 cent "D-Day – Allied Landings at Normandy 1944 - US P51-B Mustangs, British Hurricanes" stamp. This is the second of four covers to this set.  This is a unique cover to own.
