Pearl Price Depends on:

Luster:The luster refers to how much shine/reflection a pearl has. The shinier a pearl, the more valuable it is.

surface perfection: Most pearl with minor surface imperfections. There may be small marks, grooves, or lumps on the surface of the pearl. For other foreign bodies inside the oyster brushing against the pearl while it is being made. The fewer imperection a pearl, The more valuable it is.

size:Larger pearls are obviously more valuable than smaller ones, because they are much more rare.

Shape:There are many different possible shapes that pearls are available in, with round typically being the most valuable because they are the most difficult to form.

Nacre: The longer a pearl is left inside an oyster, the more nacre it builds over time. A high amount of nacre increases the luster of a pearl.

FAQ:

Are they genuine Cultured Freshwater pearl?

---Yes, we guarantee that they are 100% genuine cultured Freshwater pearl

What's difference between Cultured freshwater pearl and natural pearl?

----Natural, uncultured pearls are the most expensive of all pearls but are very rarely seen in today's market. Nowadays they only make appearances as antiques.
Pearl culturing is now absolutely standard across the industry. The process starts with "nucleation". Spherical beads are implanted into the oyster along with tissue from another mollusk. In a defensive response, the oyster coats this invader with layers of slightly iridescent "nacre", which is the attractive outside of the pearls we see today.

What are Freshwater pearls?

---Freshwater pearls are grown in fresh water, such as lakes, rivers and manmade ponds. While a very small production comes from Lake Biwa and Lake Kasumigaura in Japan and the US state of Tennessee, the majority of these gems seen on the market today are cultured in China.

How are they cultured?

---The mussel species that produces freshwater pearls is called Hyriopsis cumingii, commonly known as the “triangle mussel”. Although the Chinese knew how to cultivate the earliest blister pearls back in the 13th century, it wasn’t until the mid-1990s when they started producing high quality harvest.

The main distinction that separates the freshwater variety from the other saltwater types lies in the way they’re nucleated. In general, freshwater pearls are mostly tissue nucleated. They do not contain bead nuclei and are composed of all nacre. As there's no bead, it is very rare for the mussel to produce perfectly round or near-round shapes. More than 98% of the harvest come in a variety of non-round shapes, such as oval, button, drop, baroque and etc.Unlike the saltwater cultivation where a round bead is inserted inside the oyster’s gonad, famers usually implant up to 40 tissue pieces in the mantle of a freshwater host mussel when it is about 6 months to 1 year old. It usually takes the mussel 3 to 5 years to yield pearls, although some can take up to 7 years to grow.

Last couple years ,The new big thing in pearls are the big freshwater bead nucleated pearls from China. They are big – up to 17mm, round or symmetrically baroque (because of the bead inside), have a lustre ranging from metallic to gloriously satiny, and a smooth to convoluted or rippled. They come in a range of natural colours from white to pink, purple, peach, gold, with greens and blues
