What is mango butter?

Mango butter is extracted from the kernels of the mango. Mango butter is solid but soft/firm at room temperature. It is a rich creamy yellow colour, with a neutral odour. It is similar to shea butter in consistency and in it's use, however with higher levels of fatty acids.

How should I use my mango butter?

Mango butter is an excellent ingredient for any skin or hair treatments, moisturiser or soap. Mango butter can easily be melted for mixing with any other oils, to make the most of it's incredible moisturising capabilities.

Properties of mango butter

Mango butter is rich in antioxidants, vitamins A and E. The fatty acid profile of mango butter is around 40% Stearic acid, 40% Oleic acid, 5% Palmitic acid and with Lioleic acid and Arachidic acid. Mango butter has a melting point of 35C.

How should I store my mango butter?

Mango butter can be stored at room temperature, and is best kept somewhere out of direct sunlight and sealed.
